Top Cafes to Work and Chill in Medellín, Colombia
As a full-time traveler, finding the perfect cafe to relax, sip on excellent coffee, or knock out a few hours of work is essential. Medellín, Colombia has so much to offer in the realm of cozy cafes, lets get right into it.
1. Café Delmuri
Located in the heart of Laureles, Café Delmuri feels like a little slice of peace amidst Medellín’s hustle and bustle. It has a super cozy and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, especially upstairs! Drink options are plenty and they have a good menu with affordable options! Even when busy, this cafe is a perfect choice to relax and read a book or get some work done.
2. Al Alma
Al Alma is one of my favorite cafes to work at. With multiple locations, it’s easy to find one close to you but my favorite location is in Laureles. The vibe is open and filled with greenery, usually quiet. The menu is extensive and has yummy food and they have a good matcha tea latte!
3. Pergamino
If you’re a coffee connoisseur, Pergamino in El Poblado is a must-visit. Their coffee beans are sourced from their own farms, ensuring top-notch quality in every cup. The outdoor seating in Laureles is surrounded by lush greenery and adds to the cafe’s charm. The Poblado location is usually bustling and lively and has a beautiful balcony to sit at.
4. Madriguera Café
Madriguera, meaning “den” in Spanish, lives up to its name by providing a cozy retreat for visitors. Nestled in Laureles, this cafe has a welcoming vibe and a nice selection of sweet and savory treats.
5. Café Zeppelin
For a more eclectic and artistic vibe, Café Zeppelin is the place to go. Located in Laureles, this spot offers a mix of delicious coffee, quirky decor, and a relaxed environment. It’s also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry companion.
Their menu has great options including vegan and vegetarian eats and they also serve alcoholic drinks if you want to have a little fun while you work!

Saludpan is a haven for health-conscious individuals. Not only do they offer organic coffee, but their menu also features nutritious meals and snacks. They offer options for every diet and their Menu del Dia (Menu of the Day) is abundant and delicious. They have outside seating and boast a boutique grocery store where you can buy anything from produce to grains to vegan products and event desserts!
8. Naturalia Café
Naturalia is the cosiest cafe in Laureles that I’ve been to so far. This eco-friendly café in Laureles offers vegetarian and vegan-friendly - their vegan egg scramble is the best I have ever tasted! They also have delicious coffee, pastries and pizza!
9. Torbellino Café
Torbellino stands out for its high-quality coffee and artistic presentation. This hidden gem in Laureles is great for unwinding or engaging in deep work. They have a bunch of open space on the inside along with seating outside in their plant nursery! The food is delicious and affordable making for an all around amazing experience.
Medellín’s café culture has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a spot to work, meet friends, or simply enjoy a well-crafted cup of coffee. These nine cafés have become my go-to havens, offering both inspiration and relaxation during my time in this vibrant city.
